Behind the Brand

Our Process

Aspin Approved is committed to providing you with quality treats!

All of our raw meat are FROZEN FOR AT LEAST A WEEK before air-drying to kill any parasites.

Why is this necessary?

Because the process of air-drying raw meat requires slow and steady low heat, this will not kill off any parasites that may have been left behind.

Although a week is a long time to wait (especially during a restock), we would much rather practice patience than see your pups with an upset tummy.

Aspin Approved's treats are AIR-DRIED THREE TIMES LONGER THAN USUAL!

We are quite paranoid when it comes to mould development, and we want our products to last as long as possible. From delivery (which can take days) to consumer storage, we want to make sure your pups enjoy their treats fresh without worry!

All of our treats are air-dried for at least 48 hours and the bigger chews, especially the bone-in ones, are dried for over a week. Drying in low heat slowly means that your treats STAY FRESHER FOR LONGER!

Not only do we look after your pup, but we also look after our amazing hoomans too!

Because of the low heat that we utilize to dry our treats, surface pathogens can still lurk around and make our hoomans ill when they handle it.

This is why we OVEN BLAST ALL OF OUR TREATS after dehydrating TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PAWRENTS CAN SAFELY HANDLE IT!

All of our products are purchased raw from our trusted local livestock farms and family-owned butcher shops. We put a lot of thought into creating the best product we could provide for you, not just to maximize nutrients during dehydration, but also to support and recognize the hard work of our local farmers and butchers.

We're glad to say that the whole AA team have been fully vaccinated! Together, the AA team is helping stop the spread of COVID-19 and protecting those around us - friends, family, and you.

Even though the AA team have been fully vaccinated, we are still taking precautions to ensure our process is as safe as possible.

  • We are continuing to wear masks, gloves, and hairnets.

  • Keeping up frequently with proper handwashing techniques.

  • Making sure our commissary kitchen is cleaned and sanitised regularly.

  • Maintain social distancing when possible.
